50th Anniversary Message

 

It is my greatest pride and honor to salute Ramon Magsaysay High School on its 50th Anniversary!  The Theme: Gintong Pamana, Gintong Ani: Ramon Magsaysay High School Noon at Ngayon, Pinatatag ng Panahon, speaks of what it is today -- sturdy, strong, standing still, and soaring greater heights amidst the challenges and demands of time.

Congratulation RMHS for 50 years of consistent exemplary academic and non-academic performance; 50 years of unbeatabale achievements; and 50 years of sustained culture of excellence!

I look forward to another 50 years of tremendous success in molding and producing graduates who will work hand in hand with the government to improve the country and serve the Filipino people.

May rich deposite of inspiration handed down for generations countinue to touch people's lives!  May your kindled pilot light show the path that makes a remarkable difference to everyone.

Accept my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have traded your time, talent and treasure to give back all the blessings of your success to your Alma Mater.

WORLD TEACHER'S DAY

Panimula

Malugod na inihahandog ng Batch '83 ang web site na ito sa mga mag-aaral ng Ramon Magsaysay High School (Manila), mga nagtapos at magsisipagtapos, mga guro at kawani, magulang at kaibigan, at lahat ng mga taong naging bahagi ng kultura ng kahusayan ng paaralan.

This project was the product of casual conversations among batch mates about the memories of adolescent years in the school. We rejoiced about being the number one in NCEE!

We laughed as we recalled our crushes, the worn out Hiyas ng Wika which we "inherited" from our elder siblings; the choral recitations and sabiyang bigkas (and the romances that blossomed in between practices), and the JS prom that was held in the quadrangle under the scorching heat of the sun.

We remembered the Student Canteen which was held in our auditorium and gave us a glimpse of the, then, popular Eddie Ilarde and Bobby Ledesma.  (This event also resulted to the loss of shoes, bags and "poise" of several students and teachers who inched their way to the auditorium.)  We also grieved about our teachers and classmates who already passed away.

"High school life, o ang high school life, I remember, kay ganda."

We realized the needs of preserving the memories of our good, old days and communicating with the people who also have something to share about our alma mater.

Hopefully, through this web site, we may rediscover the pure joy of being adolescents and find inspirations in soaring even higher.

Sa atin pong lahat ang proyektong ito. Hayaan nating maging daluyan ito ng malayang talakayan at instrumento ng pagkakaisa tungo sa higit pang matayog na paaralan.
